Respect for Intellectual Property
WACANA upholds the intellectual property rights of authors and maintains a strict stance against plagiarism and copyright infringement. The journal expects all authors to adhere to high academic integrity standards and to respect the intellectual property rights of others.
Copyright
Authors submitting manuscripts to WACANA must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere in any form. By submitting their work, authors grant WACANA exclusive publishing rights, including the authority to sublicense the content to databases, archives, and indexing services. This also extends to the right to reproduce, distribute, and display the work across various media and formats.
Plagiarism
WACANA is dedicated to publishing original research and does not tolerate plagiarism or any form of academic dishonesty. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are free from plagiarism and that all sources are correctly cited. All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using specialized detection software.
Permissions
Authors must obtain the necessary permissions for any copyrighted materials included in their work, such as figures, tables, or other reproduced content. Evidence of these permissions must be provided upon submission.
Retraction Policy
Articles found to contain plagiarism, falsified data, or other serious ethical violations will be retracted. WACANA reserves the right to retract published articles if ethical breaches are discovered after publication.
Copyright Infringement
WACANA takes copyright infringement seriously and will investigate any claims thoroughly. If a claim is substantiated, the infringing content will be removed, and necessary actions will be taken to prevent future occurrences.
By submitting their work, authors confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Intellectual Property Policy.
